Farmer & the Crow (Bluegrass)

with Guest Fiddler Linda Scutt

The Farmer and the Crow is an Appalachian roots trio blending original songwriting with traditional mountain soul. The group features Dale Farmer, songwriter, filmmaker, and the creative force behind the acclaimed film The Mountain Minor, whose work preserves and celebrates Appalachian culture through both music and story. Ma Crow, an iconic Cincinnati musician with a sultry voice, brings decades of performance experience and deep Appalachian roots to the group’s sound. Rounding out the trio is Wendy Muncy, a talented vocalist and upright bassist whose harmonies and steady rhythms provide the band’s heartbeat. Together, their shared Appalachian heritage and passion for authentic storytelling create music that resonates with both tradition and heart.

Linda Scutt plays twin fiddles with Barb Kuhns in the old-time band, the Corndrinkers. She also played and recorded with Katie Laur’s All Girl Bluegrass Band. She is married to Tom Duffee, banjo player in the Corndrinkers.
